Apres la Biere Ryoma, le the Ryoma, le Ryoma soda, les Ryoma biscuits, le Ryoma latte, les badges Ryoma......la saga continue avec le sake Ryoma!!!!!

Bon forcement c'est tres commercial, et le pauvre Ryoma ne se serait peut etre pas autant battu s'il avait su que son visage finirait sur un peu tout et n'importe quoi qui peut se vendre.....

Succes du Tv Drama oblige, mieux vaut battre le fer tant qu'il est chaud et exploiter l'idee au maximum...commercialement bien sur!

Voici donc a quoi ressemble ce sake....l'embalage est cependant superbe, et donne un effet traditionnel garanti...c'est sans doute le Ryoma item le mieux reussi....

L'autre soir durant mon travail a la reception, j'ai vu dans notre bureau une petite tablette de chocolat Milka......

Et la, gros flash back, je me suis souvenue que j'en mangeais tous les soirs en sortant de l'ecole lorsque j'etais enfant....avec un verre de lait! =)

estate in Giappone cosi massacrante! proprio il caldo incredibile con alta umidita.

cosi' abbiamo pensato di preparare la granita particolare come vedete,i colori della bandiera

tedesca.

quest'anno in Germania,alcuni calciatori giapponesi giocano li

allora anche per innaugurare l'inizio del campionato tedesco,abbiamo preparato questa.

En Octobre, se deroulera le festival du livre dans notre quartier de Jimbocho...

Pour l'occasion, nous avons tenter de creer un nouveau "drink"....

Et quoi de mieux que l'absinthe pour remettre cet alcool tant populaire au 19e siecle au gout du jour??!!!

Tant d'ecrivains celebres l'adoraient....

Bien sur, le melange n'est pas le meme qu'a l'epoque, mais cela reste malgre tout une boisson avec un alcool fort a 68%.....

Amateur soyez les bienvenus....

Aujourd'hui, nous sommes le 19 Aout, et il y a un grand feu d'artifice a Shibuya.....

L'une de nos hotes s'est habillee en yukata pour s'y rendre...

Le yukata est la tenue traditionnelle japonaise que porte les femmes durant l'ete....

en coton et plus leger qu'un kimono, c'est l'ideal pour supporter la chaleur humide de l'ete!

Nous l'avons prise en photo!!!!

Last week, a very friendly journalist stayed for a few days in our hotel.

He asked me what could be interesting to see in Tokyo for the Obon weekend....

Just a few days before, I had been offered two tickets to go to some big wadaiko battle..."The 9th Tokyo International Taiko Contest"!!!

I really wanted to go there, but as I had other plans for that sunday, I decided to offer him the tickets!

He was so happy to go that he bought be some present in return!!!!

Today is my first day at work after coming back from Mongolia!

I went for 6 days and stayed with a family in the countryside for 4 days, I did everything from milk cows, see the milky way and nearly freeze when it snowed!

Mongolia is an amazing country, full of natural beauty and friendly people. There is a lot of empty space to relax!

The food is mostly meat, sheep's meat as you can see here!

I even stayed in a ger, or a type of hut. There is no toilet so you have to walk as far as you can from the ger!!! And not forget your toilet paper!

Of course I didn't forget to bring some presents back for everyone! Some Mongolian chocolate...

For some reason there was one half in the bag....

Never mind, I am sure someone will eat it!

I really recommend Mongolia for a holiday, especially if you have a strong stomach!

Koshien! High School Baseball!

Have you ever seen baseball? You might not know but baseball is really popular here in Japan with 2 national leagues and Japanese players such as playing for top flight teams in the USA

Summer holidays in Japan mean just one thing to most people here, the high school baseball tournament which this year is being held between the 7th and 21st August at the Koshien Stadium in Hyogo Prefecture (close to Kobe).

This is the stadium!

Every prefecture in Japan has a tournament and the winner of the prefectural tournament can proceed to the national finals at Koshien.

Last year's tournament was won by Chuo Kyo Dai Chu Kyo High School from Aichi Prefecture

If you can read Japanese and are interested in following this years tournament please have a look at the official website.

It is also fun to choose a prefecture and support that school!

Here we are in the height of summer and it seems like every day it is over 35 degrees. It really makes you tired and it is difficult to get any energy to do anything.

Of course, I'm from a country where it does not really get hotter than 30 degrees so I am especially badly affected... as you can see in this picture

So my helpful colleagues suggested that I do something to become genki again. The first thing was to protect my head and stop heat stroke by wearing the lovely paper bag (see above photo).

The next was to drink lots of water so not to get dehydrated

So I drank all of the water they gave to me and....

became genki!

What we are trying to say is don't forget to wear a protective sun hat and drink plenty of water when you go out and about in Tokyo!

Irina san made me taste it as I had no idea about what it tasted like!

It was soooooo strong!!!!!!!!!!

Today is monday, after two weeks of the One Piece festival in the Jimbocho streets, the neighborhood has finally turned back to normal....!

Bye bye Luffy and Co, it's time now to wait for some of your next adventures! =)

Yesterday Kozue from our Hatagaya branch came to help out with the One Piece festival rush. We set her straight to work in the cafe making our special drinks and she soon got the hang of everything.

The only thing she didn't seem too enthusiastic about was the big pink Chopper hat....

I think it quite suits her...
