This tour was our first trip to Japan, and we were looking for a something very traditional. We found out that Sakura Hotel Ikebukuro has a “Tatami Room!”. We didn’t know we had to take off our shoes first. Taking off our shoes and lying down on our “futon” was so relaxing after walking around Tokyo all day long.

We came for a job training program to learn the Japanese sewer facilities. Our program had us scheduled for long days. It was so helpful that we could eat breakfast from 5 in the morning, and that the front desk and café was open 24 hours with friendly staff. We enjoyed sightseeing in places the staff recommended we visit in Tokyo on our days off. We will come back and stay here again.
